Sad Santa book review & giveaway (US only)

November 23, 2012

I was recently sent the kids book, Sad Santa for review. This is a really cute book to read during the holiday season, and even just after Christmas too!

In Sad Santa, it’s the day after Christmas and Santa is sad. All the Christmas festivities are over and he has nothing to do! No toys to make, no lists to check… The elves and reindeer try to cheer up Santa. Mrs. Claus suggests they take a beach vacation. Even on the beach, Santa is still sad! Then he gets a letter from a child, asking for presents for next year for all his family. He didn’t want anything for himself, he only wants his family to have everything they want. Then Santa is happy! He gets busy working on plans for toys and presents for next Christmas!

This is a really cute book! It has more words than most of Davey’s books, but still held his attention. Since it’s a hardcover book we have to keep it in the living room and Davey can only look at it with supervision. I recently had to throw out all his board books because he tore them all up! But he sits on the couch next to me and looks at Sad Santa and asks me to read it to him often. Davey still didn’t know who Santa was this year, but this book helped him understand a little better that Santa is going to bring him a present for Christmas! I recommend this book for any little kid, whether their Davey’s age, or even older and able to read it themselves. It is just a super cute book!

One lucky US reader is going to win a copy of Sad Santa!

This giveaway is also posted on my other blog, Mommy and Me Giveaways, in our Holiday Gift Guide, so there are entries for both blogs in the Rafflecopter.
