Thank you Emerson Creek Pottery for providing me with a Posie Pitcher, free of charge, for review. These are my own honest opinions. Hi everyone, I have a great review and giveaway for you from Emerson Creek Pottery!  We are redecorating our kitchen  and really needed some nice accent pieces to go with the new colors we are planning in the kitchen.  I have been wanting to start a little collection of pitchers.  I have one, and my mom has a couple, so when I saw Emerson Creek Pottery’s Posie Pitchers I knew this was what I wanted to review. I chose the Copper Clay Posie Pitcher which is a beautiful coppery, reddish-brown color.  My picture really does not do the color justice!  It is a gorgeous color and looks great on our kitchen counter!  This is a small pitcher, as you can see from the counter backsplash behind it, and it holds 8 ounces of water.  It is dishwasher and microwave safe and ovenproof.  All of their items are lead-free as well.  We use ours purely for decoration.  We thought once our flowers start blooming we may cut a flower to put in the pitcher on occasion. As you know, I believe Davey may be autistic.  At his first evaluation they told me he was not on the spectrum but I think they overlooked something and need to get him reevaluated.  My mom, however, thinks he is just a wild child with behavior problems.  Either way —  I recently found out about hanging chairs being good for autistic kids or kids who have bad meltdowns, and I approached Hearth Song about reviewing their hanging chair and they sent me the HugglePod hanging chair for review.   One thing I have to say, but it is not really a huge deal, is that there are no hanging instructions included besides telling the consumer to have a professional install it, and to not use metal on metal to hang it because of the risk of metal shavings.  I knew we could hang it ourselves, as it couldn’t be much different from hanging our porch swing!  It did not come with any hanging hardware, we had to purchase that ourselves.  Going by what I read in other reviews, we decided to use a heavy duty eye hook in the ceiling joist, a carabiner in the loop on the swing, and [...]

Craft Cuts review & giveaway (US & Canada)

I have been redecorating Davey’s room and am always on the lookout for products that will look good in his room.  This all started a few months ago, when I decided I wanted to redecorate his room in an outer space theme.  I started getting review products on my other blog for his room, but then the decision to move came up and that put a halt on his room.  Now that we’re all settled in at our new home it was time to get busy!  I’ve recently painted his room and put up space decals and still have a few more things to do in there. When I came across Craft Cuts and their painted wooden letters, I knew this would be a perfect finishing touch in Davey’s room!  Davey can spell his name and he thinks it is so cool to have his name up in his room.  I had some decals of his name at our old house but couldn’t bring those with me since they were not reusable.  The wooden painted letters are so much better than decals, I think!  If we move again I can easily take them with  me, and the 3D effect of [...]

Lynch Creek Wreaths review & giveaway (US only)

Here’s a great holiday review and giveaway from Lynch Creek Wreaths! I have never had a live Christmas tree or wreath or anything. We always used artificial ones when I was growing up, so that is what I have always done as an adult as well. But I love the scent of live ones, so I was excited when Lynch Creek Wreaths agreed to send me a product for review! Their wreaths and decorations are made from fresh evergreens, and I must say they smell really good! I was sent their Vintage Evergreen Sled for review. I had no idea what I was getting, so this was a really nice surprise when I opened the package! The Vintage Evergreen Sled is really different and I love it! It is a vintage sled with some evergreens attached to it, with a nice bow that looks and feels like a woolen winter scarf. This evergreen sled could actually be set on a table as well, but I hung it on my wall.
